CALF hosts over 3,000 students during its Connecting Kids to Agriculture field trips from April through October every year.   Volunteers help with these fun interactive programs!  If you love kids, teaching and being outside, we would love to talk to you about being part of our team!

CALF keeps a menagerie of livestock as part of our education programs and volunteers help us care for them!  Our Livestock Volunteers do chores once per week either in the morning or afternoon.​

Each spring, CALF plants seed starts to be planted in our gardens, to share with other organizations or to sell.  CALF has numerous gardens and we LOVE having volunteers with a passion for gardening or families wishing to teach their children about gardening to come volunteer.

CALF offers 18 spots to community members to grow a garden and enjoy our rural environment.  CALF's Community Garden sells out year to year.  Please email us if you are interested in being placed on our waiting list.

Community Service

CALF is honored to host church, school, civic, and other organizations and provide service opportunities at Lowell Ranch.  We will work with your organization to provide a valuable volunteer experience while connecting your volunteers to the importance of agriculture!

Many Employers Give Funds for Volunteer Work!!  
Some companies even reward retirees' volunteer work. Many companies also match donations employees make to their favorite charity.
