Volunteering at CALF
CALF helps others achieve their goals through Agriculture! Whether you enjoy helping kids, feeding animals, restoring historic structures, tending a garden or doing administrative tasks CALF has an opportunity for you!
Do you enjoy teaching kids?
CALF hosts over 3,000 students during its Connecting Kids to Agriculture field trips from April through October every year. Volunteers help with these fun interactive programs!
If you love kids, teaching and being outside, we would love to talk to you about being part of our team!
Ranch and Livestock Volunteers
There is ALWAYS something to do on a Ranch!
Livestock Chore Volunteers - CALF keeps a menagerie of livestock as part of our education programs and volunteers help us care for them! Our Livestock Volunteers do chores once per week either in the morning or afternoon.
3rd Saturday Work Days - Enjoy the morning at CALF's Lowell Ranch, and help us do some ranch work. Surprisingly, this work is really fun and a great way to teach children the pleasure of hard work! We hope to see you soon at the Ranch!
Planting! Gardening! Harvesting!
Each spring, CALF plants seed starts to be planted in our gardens, to share with other organizations or to sell. CALF has numerous gardens and we LOVE having volunteers with a passion for gardening or families wishing to teach their children about gardening to come volunteer.
